It's been a weird couple of years where social media became so toxic I'm just not online much. This place isn't like that so I have no excuse! So here's the CD cover for my new album "Junkyard Sam - OUTCAST", now available on Soundcloud & Spotify.
People may see a religious woman some may see a woman in a scarf, in the end this piece to me symbolizes that differences can still be beautiful. Let me know in the comments below what you see?

(Gel Fineliner on A5 Paper) It is finished, even if it doesn't look like it. It reflects those old peanut display cards of the 1970s and 80s which were like a peanut strip-tease as the snacks were bought and more of the image was revealed. It's also a comment on the endless WIPs that some upload on social media which are like a form of "peanuts" in themselves.
(HB pencil on 190mm x 140mm paper) I'd avoided such social media sites up until now, but decided (reluctantly) to take the plunge after constantly being advised to. Watercolour and the tiniest bit of coloured pencil and acrylic marker on watercolour paper. Size A4. Done with negative painting technique. This was inspired by a figure found in a Kinder egg from my daughter. It seems to be common sense these days to scan and fix your artwork digitally before posting it on any social media. I don't do that. I kind of like the little (or bigger) imperfections in my work, and I also believe that uploading traditional work that has been digitally fixed gives people the idea that such perfect pictures can be achieved in a traditional way.

The first two doodles, the Huckleberry Hound and the social media dog are already on here. But I had more space on the paper, and decided to draw a bunch of dalmatian dogs after seeing "101 Dalmatian Street" on Disney XD, and my 1930's rubber hose dog Dipsy Diddle, whom I've done quite a bit of drawings of.
A person is depicted wearing a large pet recovery cone around their neck, trying to check his smartphone with the words "Digital Detox" prominently displayed. The image humorously comments on the idea of needing a barrier to reduce phone usage.
Take it how you want. You either give everything to social media, or it takes everything from you. In the end, you are left naked and hollow. I wanted to make this a simple composition at its core. The image is more about the message.
Times Square took forever to put together, I think the perspective is off just a bit. Overall, I think I did well with shading and depth. I am also improving on drawing/painting the human form. I wish I could trust in shapes and form and go a bit more abstract, but I think that will come with experience.
My first foray into acrylics from 2017. At the time, I wasn't that happy with it, but it sold within a day of posting it on social media. Looking at it now, I like how loose it was.
So many saddening things happened in my beloved country. When Lombok haven’t revived from the disaster, another city was devastated by a huge earthquake and tsunami. Whenever I open the social media, there are people asking for help to find their missing family members. My heart races, hoping that they will reunite soon and alive. I can’t do anything besides praying for them. I’m also frightened to think that the disaster could happen in my city too. So, if you’re reading this, I’m asking for your prayers. May god protect us all.
I have avoided social media for a couple of months now as it was making me unproductive, unmotivated and all-round less creative. I miss the community of creative social media so I have made this account to post my art anonymously: good or bad; finished or not; unedited and unfiltered. I hold back a lot when making art and even more so when publishing it. This is an opportunity to change that. This is a quick self-portrait just to force myself into creating anything today.
Something I drew for Halloween upon request from followers on social media. I really wanted to mimic that uneasy otherworldly tone the film had, but I don't think I pulled it off very well.
I've been trying to stay in touch with my family and friends whilst we are all social distancing. Birthdays still come and go, so I've been sending my cards to them over social media.These doodles have been adapted in paintshop pro to add text and a bit if glamour..hope you like them....stay safe everyone
Glass Joe may not be the best at boxing but he’s got a huge social media following and tons of likes on his videos! also he and Disco Kid are good friends apparently and decided to hangout once the boxing matches were over (hence the bandage on their face)
